Halloween at the White House
Last night we went to Craig, Brandi, Macy and Vivi's house for a Halloween party and it was lots of fun! The kids all looked so cute in their costumes and the house was decorated so cute...didn't take pics though, and I should have. Craig made hotdogs and hamburgers for us all and later they made s'mores in the outdoor fireplace.
Above is the only place we seem to ever get a family picture...on the outdoor fireplace at The White's. It'll just be an annual thing now to do this I suppose.

Meeeow! Kitty Cats are in the house!!
Here are the girls in their Halloween costumes...sassy kitties! They love the costumes this year...much better than those big ladybugs from last year. Some of the pictures are really fuzzy because I had my camera on the wrong setting and couldn't figure out what was wrong for a few minutes.
We had our neighborhood fall festival Saturday morning and boy was it cold! We went down in time for the girls to walk in the parade lead by the fire trucks but Sutton decided that she wasn't having it...so we just hung out until it was over and let them get in the bouncy instead. They never seem to get tired of these things...they had a blast! Clint rode the train with them and then we headed home to warm up!

Day at the zoo
Picnic started out in the picnic area but we had to finish up in the car due to tons of bees everywhere!
We took advantage of another beautiful day and went to the zoo this morning. The girls absolutely love the zoo now and especially the children's zoo where they can pet the animals. The goats were very, very friendly today! We brought out lunch and were going to have a picnic since it was so nice outside but there were tons and tons of bees everywhere and I was scared someone was going to get stung so we packed up and ran back to the car to finish eating. I haven't used my jogging stroller in quite some time but we took it w/ us today. After the picnic I unloaded the stroller, got the girls in it, snacks, drinks, diaper bag, jackets, etc. to realized that I had not one, not two, but three flat tires on it! I found a really nice man that worked at the zoo and asked very nicely for him to please, please, please find any kind of pump to put air in my tires...after about 20 minutes of waiting he showed up with a huge pump thingy and fixed us right up and we were on our way.

First visit to the dentist
The girls had their first dental appointment today and it went pretty well. Taylor laid down in the chair like a big girl and did exactly what they needed her to. Sutton was standing over by the fish tank the whole time Taylor was getting her teeth cleaned saying "I not do dat. I not do dat, mommy" so I knew she was not going to go easily. When Taylor finished I put Sutty in the chair and she cried the entire time during her cleaning and would only stop crying if the lady asked if she could squirt water into her mouth. She drank, and drank, and drank. I must not have given her enough juice this morning! Anyway, I don't think she was traumatized or anything but just not happy about it. I sat beside her and held her hand the whole time but the hygenist had to pry her mouth open constantly. It could have been a lot worse. I only have pictures of Taylor in the chair because Sutty was not about to let go of me for a picture!

Beach Trip
Going home
Mom's birthday
Chilly at the beach
They loved the bunk beds!
Doctor's visit at the beach
We went to Destin last week for our family beach trip with my parents, my brother and his family, and my two step sisters and their families...there were 17 of us in all and we had a great time! There were a few bumps in the road along the way but we made the best of it. Mom rode down with me to help keep the girls occupied on the way down. We followed John and then Jennifer and Jordon were behind us. We made it all the way to Georgiana and then John got pulled over and got a speeding ticket...not a good way to start off. Taylor was also not feeling great on the way down and when we got there we took her temp and it was 102.5 and the next morning it was 103.4 so I had to take her to the doctor. I hate being out of town and having a sick child because I don't like having to see a doctor we don't know. We had to go to a doc in the box and he said she had an ear infection and gave her an antibiotic. The next day she broke out in a rash in her diaper area and within a couple of hours it started spreading to her legs, tummy, etc. I called our pediatrician's office and the nurse said she thought she was having an allergic reaction to the Rx, which is what I thought also, and to stop the meds ASAP. The next day it looked awful and she had huge (the size of my hand) welps all over her bottom, legs, tummy, arms...I have never seen anything like it before. So, back to the doc in the box again and Shea also took Peyton because she was puny as well. (Forgot to mention that the day before we left Peyton and Madi had to go to the doc and Madi had bronchitis and Peyton had a sinus infection. Poor Peyton also had to take 5 tests on Wednesday morning before she could leave for the beach!) So, we pull up at the doc in the box that I had been to 2 days before and they were closed. We found another place and both girls were seen again by the doc. He said Taylor had a virus that had caused the rash, high fever, runny nose, cough, etc. and poor Peyton had the swine flu. Lovely news to get when you've all been in the same house together for 3 days! The doc gave me an Rx for a steroid to give Taylor but I didn't get it filled because I hate giving them steroids if they don't just have to have them and she wasn't bothered by the rash. I treated it w/ cortisone cream and it was completely gone in 2 days. Lisa, my step sister, also was sick and went to the doc down there and had a sinus infection and an ear infection. My brother found out yesterday that he also has the swine flu so I am just praying we all don't come down with it.

Mom's b'day was a few days before our trip so we did her b'day down there and got a cute beach themed cake and it was delicious!
We ate like kings the entire trip. Sam, Lisa's hubby, is a fabulous cook and made us homemade salsa and guacamole every day, Vanessa and Sarah went fishing and caught tons of fish so we had fresh fish galore, the guys got to play golf on Saturday and all had a really good time, and mom and John did a low country boil on Saturday night for everyone. Good stuff!
The house we stayed in was wonderful. The main house had 2 bedrooms, den, kitchen and then the guest house had 4 bedrooms 3 baths and a kitchen and den area. The pool was right in between both houses...just a perfect set up for all of us.
Had a great time and can't wait to go again!
